House Judiciary Chair: ‘It’s Very Clear’ Trump Obstructed Justice

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) on Sunday said it’s “very clear” that Donald Trump committed obstruction of justice, making the case in an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos.

Asked on ABC’s This Week whether he believes the president obstructed justice, Nadler replied, “Yes, I do.”

“It’s very clear that the president obstructed justice,” Nadler said, referencing the president’s relentless attacks on special counsel Robert Mueller, his efforts to protect former national security advisor Michael Flynn, and his firing of former FBI director James Comey.

Nadler also said his committee will send document requests to more than 60 people in the Trump administration to build a case “about obstruction of justice, corruption and abuse of power.”

Still, Nadler expressed hesitation about about pursuing impeachment against the president, telling Tapper that Democrats “don’t have all the evidence” to justify that action.
